The small village of Montbrió del Camp has some 3000 inhabitants. At an altitude of 130 meters, 6 km from the Mediterranean and 5 km from the mountains, it has a privileged situation that gives it a unique character. It is only 1.5 km away from our B&B.

Architectural heritage
Montbrió del Camp has a long history, which is clearly visible in the streets of the old center of today’s village. Still intact is the medieval structure with the central square “Plaza de la Vila” and the set of houses and alleys that surround the square.

 

An agricultural town with its DO Siurana oil and Moscatell Wine
Montbrió del Camp is an agricultural village. It produces various agricultural products. The main crops are olives, grapes, almonds, and vegetables. The Arbequina olives of the region provide an olive oil of excellent quality, internationally awarded. This is also the olive that we at Mas Montbrio Belvedere grow. The village also produces the unique “Moscatell of Montbrió” wine, a sweet liqueur wine that accompanies desserts and dried fruit. Prestigious within the DO Tarragona.

Village of hot springs
Montbrió has a long thermal baths history, that dates back to Roman times. Currently, there is one active thermal bath in Hotel Termes-Montbrió, open to the public. The Hotel has a beautiful romantic garden “the Horta Florida” open to the public as well.

Montbrió del Camp has a natural environment of great richness and scenic and agricultural beauty, which you can explore via various walking routes.

Route of the Sundials

Montbrió del Camp is a municipality with many sundials, more than a dozen historical and contemporary pieces, which show that the Gnomic heritage is well alive in the town.

 

Montbriart, the art, and the artists
An artistic event of the first order that takes place on the first Saturday and Sunday of September. Visitors walk through the streets of the village, enjoying a variety of local art shown by its artists in the various historic building of the village.
